A freelance writer and photographer for 35 years, Paul Hertneky's work in all media has covered culture, history, health, the environment, food, the restaurant industry, cooking and travel. Mostly a magazine journalist, his essays have appeared in literary publications and he has contributed to The Comedy Channel, NBC News, and Public Radio International. He is the author of RUST BELT BOY: Stories of an American Childhood.
