September Quill

We have released the first issue of the Monadnock Writers’ Group newsletter for our 2019-2020 program year: https://monadnockwriters.files.wordpress.com/2019/09/the-quill-2019-9.pdf

Note that our first meeting will be held at the MacDowell Colony on September 21. This venue always provides an exciting start to our programs, featuring presentations from two of the current MacDowell Fellows.

Also note that on the next day, September 22, we will sponsor an event jointly with Cathedral of the Pines to announce the winners of our summer poetry contest. The three winning poems and four other finalists will read their poems in addition to a reading by Tim Mayo, our contest judge. See details in the Quill.

Seeking an author: Hunger and Homelessness Week is November 16-24. The Toadstool is interested in holding a reading related to this theme, possibly on Saturday the 23rd. If you can recommend a local author who has published on hunger, homelessness, or poverty to do this reading, please let me know.
