The Magic of Monadnock: Poetry Bridging Continents
October 9 – 12, 2017, Keene State College, Mason Library
Keene State College, Cheshire County Historical Society, and Monadnock State Park will be hosting at least six pastoral poets from China and the US for a weeklong festival of how geography influences poetry. All sessions and readings are open to the public without charge thanks to generous support from KSC Mason Library, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Poetry Society of New Hampshire, and Monadnock Writers’ Group.

Please note—these programs require advance registration:
- Monday, Oct. 9: American renga (linked-verse) creations
- Wednesday, Oct. 10: Ranger-led talk and hike to Thoreau’s Rock on Mt. Monadnock ($5 park entrance fee) and tour of poet Henry Walters cabin.
- Participants in these events can register with Rodger Martin at rmartin1@keene.edu.
Participants in the college events can pick up parking passes for the week when they arrive at the Mason Library. This is meant to be a community/campus fellowship so all will be welcome.
