Update: October 2017: The writing groups mentioned in this post are currently not meeting at the scheduled times/places.
They will be revived if there is interest from enough MWG members. Potential meeting sites include Greenfield Library, Jaffrey Civic Center, Jaffrey Library, and Peterborough Town Library. If you are interested in participating, send an email to the MWG address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Are you looking for a designated time and space to write in the company of other writers? Then check out these groups that have been started by several MWG members.
Several days a week from 3:00 to 5:00, writers gather to work on their individual projects. These are excellent opportunities to dedicate time for your personal writing project in the company and support of motivated writers. A discussion of what attendees have written may follow the writing time.
Stephenson Memorial Library in Greenfield: On Tuesdays, writers work on their individual projects at the lower level of the Stephenson Memorial Library, Greenfield, NH, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Coffee and Wi-Fi are available. Location is the lower room, with walk-in entrance on the back side of the library. If you find the door locked, just ask one of the librarians on the main floor to unlock it for you. The library posts notice of closings due to weather or other reasons on their Facebook page and on WMUR.
Jaffrey Civic Center: On Wednesdays, writers work on their individual projects in the Jaffrey Civic Center, 40 Main Street, Jaffrey at 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Wi-Fi is also available. New attendees should contact Karen Ayers (email@example.com) to be on the list to be notified in case of cancellation.
Note: The writing group started at the Peterborough Town Library no longer meets.
Thank you to the Stephenson Memorial Library and the Jaffrey Civic Center for providing the space for these writing times! And thanks to Nori Odoi and Carl Mabbs-Zeno for setting up these opportunities for writing with other writers.
