Writers’ Night Out

Writers’ Night Out is your chance to meet and mingle with writers in your area. Join us for this informal gathering where you can discuss what you are working on, what you are reading, where you are submitting your work, and more.

Monadnock Writers’ Group hosts a Writers’ Night Out on the first Monday of each month except September, January, and July when the first Monday often conflicts with holidays.

We meet from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brady’s American Grill in Peterborough, located a mile north of Peterborough center on U.S. 202 (Concord Street) in Brady’s Plaza near the Monadnock Community Hospital access road.

Co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Writers’ Project. For other locations for Writers’ Night Out, visit the NHWP website.

Next MWG Workshop Meeting

MWG Workshop
Saturday, March 26, 10:00 a.m.

at Escape Hatch Books
located at 23 Main Street, Jaffrey with Yankee Magazine’s Joe Bills

Note: The MWG Workshop meetings in Jaffrey are now open to anyone. You do not need to be an MWG member to participate.

The Monadnock Writers’ Group (MWG) is sponsoring a series of workshops for members and friends to share and discuss drafts relating to the business of getting published. The March meeting will utilize the worksheet Buzz McLaughlin introduced to the group at the February MWG meeting. Buzz uses the worksheet in his MFA class to help clarify and expand individual ideas for writing projects.

Click here to download a copy of the worksheet.

Anyone wishing to participate in the workshop should send a draft worksheet as an e-mail attachment to, or in hard copy to Monadnock Writers’ Group, PO Box 3071, Peterborough, NH 03458.  We will circulate the drafts to everyone who expresses interest in the March meeting.

This will be a discussion of the draft worksheets so we hope everyone will read them in advance but anyone interested in writing is welcome at the event.  We are pleased to have Joe Bills, an editor from Yankee Magazine, to moderate this workshop.
