MWG Members’ Workshop
January 23, 2016
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Escape Hatch Books
23 Main Street, Jaffrey
The Monadnock Writers’ Group is starting a series of workshops for members to share and discuss drafts relating to the business of getting published. Our first session will look at writing a cover letter to solicit support from a literary agent or publisher for any type of submission: book, magazine, etc. Escape Hatch Books is one block west of the light on Main Street in Jaffrey between the Sunflower Café and the barber shop. Free parking is available on Main, on the side streets nearby, and in the town lot.
Anyone wishing to participate in the workshop should send a draft cover letter as an e-mail attachment to email@example.com, or a hard copy to Monadnock Writers’ Group, PO Box 3071, Peterborough, NH 03458. We will circulate the drafts to everyone who expresses interest in the January meeting.
This will be a discussion of the drafts so we hope everyone will read them in advance. We are pleased to have Joe Bills, an editor from Yankee Magazine, to moderate the workshop.
